Flair Bartending Lesson #35: Icing a Glass #2

I really like moves that don't involve the usual bottle and tin combo. This is a great way to start a drink, especially since most drinks start with the usual ho-hum scoop of ice into the glass.  Having a bigger scoop makes this move a bit easier. If you don't have one, check out this ice scoop for $4 or this ice scoop for $12. I like the $12 a little more because of the way it is angled, but the $4 one is just as sturdy and big.

Flair Bartending Lesson #34: Icing a Glass #1

This isn't a terribly flashy move but sometimes it's just enough to catch someone's eye and get them asking for more. Version #2 will be up tomorrow.

Flair Bartending Lesson #32: Tony Cogburn 360

This move is always a crowd pleaser and is a great way to from a few flair moves into actually pouring the drink. Make sure you have enough room behind the bar and don't forget to measure your pour count. I promise you - this is a great, easy move that you will be using a lot behind the bar.

Flair Bartending #30: Over Shoulder Tin Stall with Pour

This is slightly more complicated, but fun and entertaining working flair. Guests occasionally gasp when they see you pour into the tin and THEN flip it. Practice this A LOT at home with water and make sure you can land it 90% before trying it at work. Spilling alcohol is a sure way to not only irritate your boss but also look like an idiot in front of your guests and co-workers.
