Flair Bartending #28: Bottle/Tin Working Flair

Here's one more bottle/tin working flair move to add to your repertoire.

Flair Bartending Lesson #27: Ice Scoop Tin Routine

I like this routine because it's practical working flair that uses something other than the typical bottle/tin combo. Plus it's pretty hard to break anything.

Don't forget to review the Rules of Practice.

Dust Off Your Flair Bottles

I hope you've had enough time to learn all the working flair you can, because I'm proud to say that I've finished filming some new videos. And we are going to learn some cool stuff. After a couple more prop flair and working flair videos, we'll be moving into flipping bottles exhibition style in no time. The videos are filmed - I'm just going to take the weekend to edit them and make myself look pretty. If I can brag for a second, I'm also proud to say that my YouTube videos have reached 499,000 views with over 1100 subscribers - here's to my half-a-millionth view! Start checking back here every Monday for the new flair bartending tutorials.

In the meantime, check out a few videos that I found on Funny or Die. There are 12 videos in the series - I thought I'd feature a few of my favorites here. The videos are all titled "The Bartender Hates You." Rest assured, of course, Chris the Bartender doesn't hate you. He loves you. Especially because you all follow general bar etiquette. Your neighborhood bartender, on the other hand, I can't speak for. But my guess is he lusts you.

You have no idea how often this first video actually happens each night.

Welcome to the All New Chris The Bartender

It's official. The new site is up and running. Bar's open.

If you've been a reader for a while, you know I've been in the process of re-designing Chris The Bartender. And I'm happy to say I'm back up and running. The new site makes it easier for people to watch all of my flair bartending video lessons, read popular articles, post items to facebook, or email articles to friends. And for you fans of the old Filthy Friday, there's a joke tab on the left just for you.

One major new improvement is the addition of my new bar supply store. Everyone looking to get their flair bottles, practice gear, and bartending supplies can easily shop around and find everything you need. Check out the new store - I'm pretty happy about that.

I'm already working on adding new content, especially some more flair instructional videos. But I'm also in the process of filming some videos to teach about wine, beer, and cocktails. I've got some great experts that I'm learning a lot from and I can't wait to share. They'll all be coming soon; check back or subscribe to my RSS feed. And if there's something you'd like to learn or read about, let me know!

In the meantime, poke around and let me know what you think. I've tested it quite a bit, but if you find a link that's not working or something else I missed, please let me know. And I'd also love to hear any feedback about the new design. Tell me what you like and what you don't.

For all you flair bartenders, I hope you find the videos helpful and easier to use. If there are some flair moves you'd like to learn that I haven't posted a lesson about yet, let me know. I'm filming about 30 more videos, picking up where we left off and then moving into exhibition flair. That's when things really get fun. In the meantime, let me know what you want to see so I can get to filming it. And if you've liked the free videos so far, please consider supporting by buying something from the flair bar supply store. It will help me get better quality equipment and bring you even better free flair bartending lessons.

Thanks for your interest. The bar is open.
